U-5 Updated information and schedule
Posted September 4th, 2008 by kfstarkParents,
I would like once again to welcome you to our park and extend my wishes that you and your children have a positive experience throughout the upcoming season.
I am pleased there has been a late surge of interest in our Under age 5 program. These additional players will strengthen our program and make for a more enjoyable season for everyone. In that regard, I wish to remind you of the following matters which require your consideration:
Parking: Available parking always is an issue. Accordingly, I urge you to allow sufficient time for parking. The park's lots have limited capacity; likewise, Balboa Boulevard offers parking to those who come early and are persistent. There is parking off of Hatteras, which is adjacent to the park's western boundary.
AYSO 33 Under 5 Program Welcome Letter
Posted August 21st, 2008 by sokerlad33Welcome to AYSO Region 33 Balboa Park U-5 Soccer
Dear Under-5 Parent,
Welcome to Balboa Park! You have just signed up for a season of wonderful soccer fun.
The Under-5 program is designed to expose your children to soccer principles through playing games. It is also designed to maximize your opportunity to interact with the other children and families with whom you will (we hope) be playing soccer for the next decade.
The program is structured in “Jamboree” style, that is, there are no fixed teams and every child wears the same uniform. Each week will start with everyone assembling on the assigned fields. Then the kids will be divided into groups for instruction consisting of age appropriate games. After a short water break, the players will be divided into groups of 6 for a short (20 minute) “3 v 3” mini-match. The entire session and game should last one hour each week.
