When will my coach call me?
U-10 and above
The U-10 and above leagues are drafted by the coaches in late July. Your coach should contact you shortly after the draft to arrange a practice schedule.
U-6 through U-8
These divisions are created by the division managers later in the summer as registration slows down and they are able to find willing coaches. You should be contacted by your coach at least 2 weeks before the start of the season. The best way to know your coach is to volunteer as a coach.
U-5
U-5 players are coached by the MLS coaches. You will meet them on the first day of the season.
The U-5 division is played as a jamboree style rather than league play. You will be contacted by the division manager at least 2 weeks before the start of the season with more information.

I'm confused
I sent in registration fee, paperwork, etc..for my 5 year old daughter over 3 weeks ago. This is our first time doing it this way. What division is she going to be on? When do we meet? I'm reading everything and trying to email the region but I have yet to hear anything.
Not The Only One
Thank goodness I checked the website and now see that there is a meeting scheduled for U5 parents in 2 days. What if I did not look on this website, was anyone going to inform us? I am just really disappointed in the communication on AYSO's side in regards to the little ones. I paid a fair amount of money for enrollment a little less than my older daughter whos coach contacted me beginning of August. Even though U5 does not have coaches someone should contact the parents and let us know what is going on. I see I am not the only one out in left field on this situation.

Girls U5 Balboa Park, When do i get contacted?
It is Aug. 9th. Please let me know if someone is contacting me or if we are just stupposed to show up on Sat. Sept 6th? And if so what time? Please advise, this is our first time joining ayso. Thank you,

Since there is not a specific coach for the U5 divisions, you will just show up on Sep 6th. The field schedules are not yet available so I cannot tell you what time. The schedules are usually available 7-10 days before the beginning of the season.
Girls U-5
You state to check the schedule for Girls U-5 that will be posted 7-10 days before the season starts for our time and fields. How do we know which team our girls are on? Do you only have 1 team? How do they obtain their uniforms for this day? I thisnk we need more information on how to go about this than to just check a schedule. Please advise.

The U-5 division does not have teams. They are coached in a Jamboree style by the MLS coaches (ie. professional coaches).
You will meet at the same time every week, but I don't know what time that is until the final schedules are produced for the entire league.
I believe uniforms are given out on the first day, but you would need to contact your division manager for more information. Your division manager's information is on the division page or the Board Member page
