How are teams formed?

U10, U12, U14, U16/19
The competitive division teams are drafted by coaches in late July. Players are ranked by their coaches from the previous year and the draft is intended to balance the teams for the season.

Players can be added to the competitive division after the draft, but they will need to be ranked and slotted into the appropriate team so that they do not effect the balance between the teams.

U6, U7, U8
These teams are formed during mid-August by the division managers. The division managers spend the first part of August finding enough coaches so they can form as many teams as possible. Teams are continuously created as new kids and coaches sign up. It is important to find as many coaches as possible so that all the kids can play.

U5
The U5 division is played in a Jamboree style and is coached by the MLS coaches. They are not assigned to a specific team and coach.
