How do I send an email blast to my division?

You must have a user login and be given permission to post by the webmaster. By default, all division managers will have the ability to create and send a newsletter to all divisions.

To post a newsletter and send it out:

  1. Login to your account
  2. Click on "Create Content" on the lower left menu
  3. Click on "Newsletter"
  4. Add a Title for your newsletter
  5. Choose the Division to receive the newsletter:
    • From the "Newsletter" drop down, select the Division to send to.
    • If you want to send to more than one division, you will need to follow the entire set of instructions for each division. You cannot send to multiple divisions at the same time.
  6. (optional) Post the content to a division web page:
    • From the "AYSO 33" category, select the appropriate Division(s) from the list
    • This will add the post to the selected division pages on the website
  7. Type in the Body
  8. Under newsletter options, you can select a sending option
    • Don't bother changing the format, priority, or request receipt choices.
    • Select "Don't Send" if you want to wait and edit it later
    • Select "Send to Test Address" and type in your address in the box to send a test first
    • Select "Send Now" to send it immediately

How do I know if I am logged in?
There are two ways to determine this. If you see a login box in the upper right, you need to login. If the bottom left box does not have your username as the title, you need to login.
How do I know that my account has permission to post?
If you do not see "Create Content" as one of the choices in the bottom left box after logging in, you have not been given permission.
How do I get the story to the Front Page
This takes additional permission to post to the Front Page. Click on "Publishing Options" and put a checkmark in "Promoted to front page". If these don't exist, you do not have permission and will need to contact the webmaster to have it promoted.
Your story will now be available on all of the division pages you selected
How do I look at, add, edit subscribed email addresses?
Click on "Newsletters" in lower left menu, Click on Subscriptions at top of page.
To list emails subscribed to your list, filter using the dropdown box and click filter.
To add new email addresses, use the "Import Subscriptions" link.

Hints

Posting the comment to the division page on the website and sending a newsletter require two distinct steps on the newsletter posting page.

Selecting divisions from the list under "AYSO33" posts the content to the Division web pages.

Selecting the division under "Newsletter" selects the intended division to email to. Unfortunately, it is not possible to select more than one mailing list at a time.
