WELCOME TO REGION 33!  REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2023 IS NOW OPEN!

Parents, Players, Coaches, and More:

My name is Mark Lambert and I am very excited to be your new Regional Commissioner for our 50th Anniversary season at AYSO Region 33 (Encino).

There will be big changes in our Region, all designed to improve your experience and create Region Pride.  I want to make Region 33 the place that you want to come back to, year after year.

My Goals: 

1.  PLAYER DEVELOPMENT & COACH MENTORING:  Your child will love the game and the experience by improving his/her soccer skills every year through positive coaching.  To accomplish this, I am establishing a Coach Continuing Training & Mentoring Program at Region 33, which will provide clinics and coaching support throughout the season.  Coaches will not be left high and dry once they are given a team. 

2.  EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION:  I have created 25+ head volunteer positions for each function that we perform at AYSO (such as safety, dispute resolution, uniforms, trophies, picture day, fundraising, etc.)  When you have an issue relating to any of those 25+ functions, you will go to that head volunteer to get your problem solved.  If you are not satisfied, you can contact me and I will consult with our head volunteer to address it.   Plus, I promise you we will redo our Region 33 Website so that it is parent-friendly and you can easily find the important information you need.

3.  GIVE PARENTS BETTER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES   I believe that many parents (especially those of the younger players) want to volunteer but may believe they lack the experience, expertise, or availability on a Saturday to help.  By creating the 25+ volunteer categories, each of which needs helpers, we will offer you a larger assortment of fun volunteer options, most of which can be done on your own time any day of the week.  It will be a great way for you to meet new people, make friends, and help our Region.

4.  CREATE REGION 33 PRIDE: Let’s have Yearbooks we can pass out to all players at the end of the season. And an Opening Day Festival celebrating our 50th Anniversary.   And the Turkey Tournament we used to hold every Thanksgiving weekend at Balboa Park.  Volunteer to help us and we will make it all happen.

So, become part of our awesome 50th year at Region 33 in Encino and register your child/children to play soccer at our region this Fall!
